0.12 mm!

China made the world's "thinnest glass"

How the development of China's glass industry?

A few days ago, Bengbu Glass Industry Design and Research Institute successfully produced the thinnest glass in the world, which was produced in bulk by floating process using independent core technology and complete sets of equipment.

The thickness of glass was only 0.12 mm, which was comparable to the thickness of A4 paper. Ultra-thin glass, also known as ultra-thin electronic touch glass, is the core material of the electronic information display industry. It is used as the basic material for mobile phone, computer and TV display screen. The thinner the glass, the better the transmittance, flexibility, and weight. But the glass is too thin and fragile. How to make it thin and strong and tough is a world problem.

Cao Xin, deputy director of the functional Glass Research Institute of Bengbu Institute of Chinese Building Materials Group, said: in the range of 0.12 mm, I believe it is worldwide. China's glass thickness exceeded 0.33 mm in 2014, reduced to 0.15 mm again in 2016, and now has successfully broken through 0.12 mm, again breaking the world record! In recent years, with the rapid development of flat panel display technology, the demand for ultra-thin glass is increasing. With the rapid development of flat panel display technology in the world, the demand for ultra-thin glass in the world market is huge.

According to the relevant data, the demand for ultra-thin glass in the international market is increasing at the rate of 20% per year. What about the development of China's glass industry? A total of 31 A-share listed companies in the 2017 glass industry rankings have disclosed their 2017 annual reports, according to a large database of the China Business Research Institute. The total revenue of 31 companies listed in A shares is 147.27 billion yuan, of which 19 companies have revenues of more than 1 billion yuan and six listed companies have revenues of more than 10 billion yuan. One of the top five companies total revenue of 82.69 billion yuan, accounting for the total revenue of 56.15. Lance Technology is far ahead of other companies in revenue, totaling 23.703 billion yuan in 2017. Next is Fuyao glass, 2017 realizes the operating income to total 18.716 billion Yuan. Dongxu Optoelectronics ranked third, operating income of 17.336 billion yuan. In terms of net profit, 20 companies have a total net profit of 13.66 billion yuan, with eight companies earning more than 500 million yuan and five companies earning more than 1 billion yuan. Among them, Fuyao Glass, China Stones, Lansi Technology, Dongxu Optoelectronics, Qibin Group's top five total profit 102.32, accounting for the total profits of 31 listed companies 74.9. Specifically, Fuyao Glass net profit is the highest, a total of 3.149 billion yuan, Chinese boulder ranked second, net profit of 2.15 billion yuan. Lance Technology net profit of 2.047 billion yuan, ranked third. It is worth noting that there are currently 5 listed companies in a state of loss.
